poverty

This is somewhat rushed. My second post. In 2010 the world population was estimated at 6.916 billion. I’m not great on statistics but recent news coverage says nearly half the worlds wealth is owned by 1%. Oxfam estimates that 40% of Britain live in relative poverty. This they define as not being able to replace a white good that breaks or have more than one pair of shoes.

Perhaps the question to be asked is does early 21st century capitalism work. The perception of the American dream is 250? million actively striving for there goals/dreams. Yet documentaries show vast inner city usually ethnic minorities who have no/ non stake in economic America

Surely it is in the interest of any country that as many as possible of its population are active and gain from the societies they live in. And if not  it is a waste of human potential and the catalyst for justified? social unrest and problems. It is also individual peoples and families personal tragedies. On what basis could 7? billion people find redemption. In my view it is also vital that freedom of speech and expression is enshrined in law. I guess all i’ve done is raise questions, but that in its self is no bad thing.  Pro active international and home political policies?. A new, new deal? Not to much of that at the moment. Though often talked about

I might write about poetry one day?
